Species Range
- Central and eastern Africa, extending from Namibia to the north and as far as south of Sudan and north of Ethiopia.
Gender
- A yellow band on the crown while the rest of the head and upper part of the breast is ash brown.
- Wings and the rest of the upper part of the body have a similar coloring, as well as the tail.
- The rump has a variable bluish green color and a yellow area on the bend of each wing.
- The thighs and lower wing coverts are also yellow, while the remaining lower part of the body is bluish green.
- Dark gray beak, with a lighter shade at the base.
- The feet and the eye ring are also dark gray.
- Orange-red iris.
